Tenor singer Tashi Dorje was born 29th of November 1966 in the city of Chamdo, in Eastern Tibet. He studied singing in the Department of Singing in the University of Beijing's Opera, Dance and Drama Division from 1983 to 1988. In 1998 Tashi Dorje went to Spain to attend the "Francisco Viñas" Singing Competition.

He studied with teachers María Soler and Eduardo Giménez at the Conservatory of High Studies of Music of Liceo in Barcelona (Spain). He then went to further study with Carlo Bergonzi in Buseto (Italy). In 2005 and 2006 studies with Isabel Penago, in Madrid.

He has performed in Tibet, China, Sweden, Spain, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland and the USA.

Tashi Dorje is a legal resident in Spain and the European Community.
